Richard Rozze – Sunday Sessions – Live @ the Hop and Huffkin

On the last Sunday in each month we will be hosting the Richard Rozze Jazz Sessions.

Richard Rozze – Guitars

Richard can be seen performing in a variety of contexts on the jazz and pop scene and has earned a reputation as a creative and flexible musician. Richard fronts the Richard Rozze Group featuring Paul Booth, Malcolm Edmonstone, Dave Whitford and Andrew Bain. Their debut album ‘Learning To Fly‘ is out now on Pathway Records.Richard has worked alongside musicians of many genres including, Paul Booth (saxophone) Brian Hanlon (singer/ songwriter) Dana Gillespie (vocals), Jeremy Peynton Jones (composer), Derek Nash (saxophone) Trevor Tomkins (drums), John Horler (piano).

Frances Knight

Frances Knight – Piano

Jazz musician/composer/writer, Frances initially studied Fine Art then gradually made a switch to jazz piano, beginning her apprenticeship by playing gigs around London,  eventually joining Guildhall School of Music jazz course.
Previous albums are Tales From the Front Room,  featuring legendary clarinettist Tony Coe and a trio cd Ripple which has proved a  favourite with artists and writers – music to work to! Tracks from these recordings have been played on the BBC and Europewide.

Paul Zec

Paul Zec – Alto Sax

Alto saxophonist Paul Zec has been influenced by Louis Armstrong, Sidney Bechet, Charlie Parker, Sonny Rollin, Paul Desmond. A regular on the Kent and London Jazz scene, Paul Zec released his quartet album in 2008. Paul has played in venues including ‘The National Theatre’ and ‘Ronnie Scotts’
