Sandwich Goes French for Le Weekend. Now in its 16th year, Le Weekend will host the authentic French Market; offer 2 free outdoor concerts featuring French and English musicians; and visit our Anglo French Medieval encampment on the Quay Green.
July: Sandwich Folk & Ale Festival
With a broad range of musical styles including traditional and modern, our Folk & Ale Festival is well supported by numerous Morris Dance Teams who bring a splash of colour to the Town Centre. There is an amazing craft fair in St Peters Church. With over 30 bands on Saturday and Sunday playing in the streets and pubs offering a staggering range of free to enjoy concerts.
August Bank Holiday : Sandwich Festival
An extravaganza of free entertainment in the Town Centre and on the Quay Green. Highlights include: Saturday: Free outdoor concert; Sunday, Italian Market;Monday – Classic Cars, Sandwich Town Monday Fayre and of course the annual Rotary Duck race.
A week long exhibition of local artists in St Mary’s Arts Centre and events at various locations around the Town. A welcome evening on Saturday; free music and drama on Sunday afternoon, film nights ,
Christmas Lights parade carnival and switch on at 6pm.
A day-long festival of craft stalls, mulled wine, musical entertainments and fun fair.
The light switch-on is at 6.00pm.
